Getting ready to start shopping for a bridal gown? Don’t make these three common mistakes ⬇️

1. Not doing enough research 🧐

Research is key to finding the right dress FAST! Brides often just book any and every bridal shop in the area for a day of shopping, this is not the best method. Make sure you really understand the bridal boutiques you are visiting and the stock/designers they carry! Be sure they have what you’re looking for and match your vibe!

2. Not giving themselves enough time ⏳

Brides are often unaware of how long wedding dresses can take to come in! Gowns can take anywhere from 6-8 months to arrive and you want to ensure you have enough time for alterations as well (alterations can take up to 3 months). We suggest shopping for your wedding dress 10-12 months prior to your wedding to avoid rush fees and the risk of not getting what you want! More time = less stress 👏

3. Giving themselves too many options 👰‍♀️

There are so many dresses out there and brides often feel like they need to see absolutely everything there is! This is actually not helpful when picking a gown. Too many options can lead to a bride feeling very confused and overwhelmed. Our advice would be to trust your gut and your stylist, both will know when to stop throwing options at you. 🫶
